The most upmarket option with indisputably the best location in central and eastern Etosha, Onkoshi is a Namibian Wildlife Resorts camp that provides luxury and tranquillity at a significantly higher level than the restcamps. Situated right on the edge of the Etosha Pan, the views over the silvery expanse from the elevated rooms and lodge are superb. The 15 chalets are similar to those at NWR’s Sossus Dune Lodge in the south, built on raised wooden decks with sliding glass doors to maximise the vistas. The bedrooms are spacious with dark wooden floors and furnishings, canvas walls and thatched roofs, while the en-suite bathrooms have a stone bath and indoor and outdoor showers.

The rooms and main lodge area are connected by raised wooden walkways, making it safe to walk to your room at night and ensuring that panoramic vantage points are always present. The main lodge has indoor and outdoor dining areas, a lounge, bar and swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers.
