Situated on the far Western side of the Etosha National Park, Hobatere is a fantastic recent addition for those travellers wanting to traverse the entire park. The lodge is on a private concession, with a raised hide overlooking a waterhole a short distance from camp. The central main area offers views of two waterholes as well as a pool area, and the camp area is unfenced, allowing game to pass freely through the camp.
The rooms are simple but well designed for the varying temperatures during the day, and each has a small balcony area to relax on. Guided game drives are available on the concession or inside the National Park, and the lodge offers a convenient stopping point between Damaraland and Etosha National Park itself.
