For us a “classic” trip is one that incorporates the major highlights, but also allows a little time for relaxation and includes one or two lesser-known destinations or activities to give you a more rounded experience of Morocco. For most people, Marrakesh is a must on any visit to the country and is likely to feature in any “classic” trip; also popular are Essaouira and The High Atlas Mountains. But we also like to encourage you to get to places like Telouet or Chefchaouen, and to see different side of established favourites, like the private gardens of Marrakesh.
Top Tip: have at least one free day in Marrakesh when you can head into the souqs and medina, and just get yourselves lost. It’s the best way to experience the city, and you’ll always eventually come back to a landmark you recognise!
