The Hotel Vista in Hiroshima is a modern and well-equipped property, but still retains enough Japanese charm to not make you feel that you are just in another chain hotel. Softly-lit rooms, in-room vanity sinks and mirrors, and splashes of inoffensive colour give the Vista the feel of a European-boutique hotel.
The minimalist lobby is one floor up from the main road that the hotel sits upon, allowing you to be in the heart of the vibrant city without being enveloped by it. Living up to its name, the rooms all boast great views from the upper floors, over the city and to the hills beyond. The main sights of the Peace Park are quarter of an hour walk to the west, with the main train station being a little further in the opposite direction – though the ubiquitous trams that pass right outside the front door make either of these a shorter trip should you prefer.
We would recommend going for the larger twin rooms if you can stretch your budget a fraction, but even the ‘moderate’ double rooms are more spacious than hotels of the same price, and come with a complimentary smartphone to use while in town. There’s good reason why this is one of our most popular options in Hiroshima!
