Hiroshima is best enjoyed as the locals do – wandering through the many parks of this beautiful city, and visiting the great shops and indulgent dining options that appear on every street corner.  We can help arrange tickets to go see the baseball too, so you can cheer on the Hiroshima Carp with the rest of the city throughout the summer months.  The city is easily navigable on foot, or using the cute trams that ferry commuters and tourists from place to place.

The reconstructed Hiroshima Castle contains an informative museum and the panoramic views over the city from the keep are wonderful, but even a walk around the moat and gardens is a great way to spend some free time.  Plenty of fascinating museums in the city deserve some of your time too, depending on your interests.  These include the Museum of Fine Art, the MOCA for contemporary art, and even the Mazda Museum to learn more about the century-long history of one of Japan’s most beloved automotive exports.

For those looking to use Hiroshima as a ‘base’, the city is well-positioned to head to neighbouring jewels in the Setouchi region, including the art island of Naoshima, historic Kurashiki and the many picturesque islands dotted throughout the Inland Sea.
