Modelled in the style of a Spanish colonial hacienda, La Isla offers a selection of uniquely designed rooms set on shady grounds. The owner is interested in history which you will see reflected throughout the hotel, and the gardens also link to their forest trails. Experimental fusion cuisine is served at the on-site restaurant overlooking a small lagoon. There is an extended orchard on the hacienda with a large selection of tropical fruit trees. Not only the “common” fruits like orange, bananas, papaya, mango, avocado, grapefruit, and lemon are available but also delicious fruit secrets such as star fruit, guanabana, caimito, cas, mangastan, mamn chino, pejebaye, guava, mimbro, rose apple, water apple, zapote among others are grown. We are most happy to explain their delicious taste and their usage. All year round, the fresh fruits of the season are served at breakfast.
