Quirpon Lighthouse Inn offers a wonderfully unique opportunity to stay in an original light-keepers house at the very northern tip of Newfoundland. This is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the remote and rugged location, further enhanced by the fact you have to leave your car behind and take a boat to the property (note: there is a short uphill walk from the dock to the inn). Room are rustic but comfortable and a family-style breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in your stay. As well as being a good spot to see icebergs, it’s an incredible location for whale watching, with over 27 species seen regularly passing through the nearby waters. The heated, indoor whale watching station is the perfect place to keep an eye out for them and observe other ocean wildlife. There are a number of walking trails close to the property and plenty of hidden coves to be explored. For a truly off-the-beaten-track experience, this simply cannot be surpassed.
