Stretching between Whistler Mountain and Blackcomb Mountain, the Peak2Peak Gondola is the longest continuous lift in the world, also holding the record for the longest span between towers, at 3.02 kilometres. Originally built to transport skiers more easily between the two mountains, it is now an all-year-round attraction, offering transportation in summer to walkers and mountain bikers who make good use of the extensive trails on the mountains. The 360-degree views, however, are spectacular at any time of the year, with the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Fitzsimmons Range glistening all around. Additionally, in summer, you can marvel at the colourful wildflower meadows in the valley below, and in autumn, observe the gently changing colour of the trees.
Your ticket includes the lifts up to the top of either Whistler or Blackcomb Mountain and the Peak2Peak between the two. At the top, you will find an interpretive centre along with a café and restrooms, and if you are feeling energetic, do allow time for a stroll once you’re there.
