Tofino sits on the edge of Clayoquot Sound, a vast area of temperate rainforest and deep fjord inlets. It is a fantastic destination for wildlife, with black bears being one of the most iconic inhabitants. On this two-and-a-half-hour excursion, you will travel in a Zodiac vessel to observe these incredible animals.

At low tide, black bears wander down to the shoreline to forage for shellfish—crabs, clams, and barnacles—making it possible to watch them from a safe distance on the water. Your guide will share fascinating information about the bears, as well as other wildlife you may encounter, such as eagles, seals, and porpoises. They will also provide insights into this pristine natural environment, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
