The mighty Miramichi River and its network of tributaries flow through New Brunswick and gently empty into the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The river valley has a special quality about it — perhaps it’s the wild beauty and tranquillity of the area, or the infectious energy of the Acadian and Irish cultures. Whatever the reason, the river is teeming with salmon, making it a fantastic spot for fishing.
The city of Miramichi sits on the estuary, and from here, you can head inland to fly-fish in the shallower tributaries or venture out to sea to test your angling skills from a boat.
