Viñas de Cafayate is a lovely property in a really striking location amidst vineyards and in the shadow of the Andes right in the heart of the area’s wine-making country. It is a couple of miles outside the small town of Cafayate itself and offers a lovely tranquil place to stay when exploring the wine valleys. Enjoy the views from an outdoor verandah with a glass of local Torrontes in hand. At the foot of San Isidro Hill, Viñas de Cafayate offers great views and simple yet comfortable accommodations and a private atmosphere.
Viñas was once a private home and is set around a central courtyard, with rooms flanking the sides of the square. They also look onto the outside of the square enjoying spectacular views either across the vines or facing the San Isidro mountains or the Calchaqui valley in the distance. Cuisine is a mix of regional and international including produce from their organic garden, served with, of course, an exceptional selection of local wines. There is a cosy lounge with library and open fire as well as a good size outdoor pool and terrace. You can even play golf at a nearby championship course at a reduced green fee if you wish.
