Mine is a great little gem, tucked away in trendy Palermo Soho neighbourhood, that offers really great value compared to many of the boutique offerings in this area. A stone’s throw from great local restaurants and bars, this 20 room property has some great facilities that make it a superb haven from the hustle and bustle of the city. The décor is, like many BA properties, chic and contemporary urban style with fountains and greenery interspersed by cool open spaces, both indoor and outdoor. This is complemented by great concierge staff who add little touches, like weather reports, in your room.
A real highlight for a small hotel is the heated swimming pool (open Nov-March only) set in a tranquil garden with plenty of outdoor seating, overlooked by the casual café that serves some superb breakfasts and great coffee. Rooms are pretty well-sized (superior rooms are recommended as they are more spacious) with clean modern lines and décor is mainly white with accents of wood, stone, rattan and oriental colours, including two fully accessible rooms. It’s a winning combination of cosy and unpretentious and yet chic and design-led in style with plenty of cosy corners to while away an hour or two.
