Tucked away in the madness of the Old Quarter, this small hotel oozes character. It is ’boutique’ in every sense – the small welcoming lobby (which opens up to reveal a meditative space), the cosy 1st floor restaurant & bar, the central winding staircase (there is also a lift!) and the cosy, charming rooms. Some guest rooms are small, as space is at a premium in the Old Quarter, and the lower category rooms have showers integrated in to the room itself – a necessary compromise. Indeed, there are a real variety of rooms from which you should only really consider using the higher categories, some with balconies overlooking the bustling streets. The main suite is still not expansive by suite standards, but it is considered very much ‘on trend’ – so much so that it has featured in several Vietnamese pop videos!
This is a wonderful little hotel, in a wonderful location. Vehicles may not be able to reach the hotel (a short walk, your bags will be carried separately), but once you have established the hotel as your base, then you are in the vibrant heart of Hanoi.
