This morning, accompanied by a local guide you will venture out into Akchour in the Rif Mountains. You will drive along winding mountain routes through rugged canyons and green valleys to Akchour village. Arriving at your destination you will leave the vehicle and set off for a beautiful walk, following footpaths by the river. Gaining elevation, you will be greeted with dramatic views of the majestic peaks around, and the beauty of the wild natural bridge (God’s Bridge). A gradual climb will lead you to the village to meet locals and learn about their daily activities of farming and herding goats and sheep. You will then walk downhill to the local restaurant for lunch (payable locally) before you drive along the rushing river back to Chefchaouen. The drive will take around one hour each way, while the walk itself should take around four hours.
