Set on an island in Lake Temenggor Forest Reserve, Belum Eco Resort allows visitors to truly get back in touch with nature. A stay at the eco friendly resort allows you to appreciate and respect the natural environment around you in this age old rainforest.
The resort has been hand built without the use of any machinery and offers simple, cosy accommodations without any fancy facilities. The 12 ‘A’ type chalets are constructed of local materials with simple furnishings. Ceiling fans and hot water are available in the chalets. Dormitory accommodation is also available, as well as a houseboat for overnight adventures on the lake. Meals are served in the cafe for breakfast, lunch and dinner with simple local food available.
Activities at the resort include fish feeding, kayaking, swimming, sailing, wind surfing and bird watching. Outside of the resort you can enjoy jungle trekking, animal salt licks, visit to the hydro dam, rapids, waterfalls and sailing to remote destinations within Belum.
The wilderness is all around you when staying at Belum Eco Resort – bugs and insects are part of the parcel. Don’t forget to pack insect repellent, trekking gear and good walking shoes.
