Day 1
Arrive into Tel Aviv airport today, where you'll be met by your driver and taken to Jerusalem, a journey of roughly one hour.
Day 2
We recommend a guided tour of Jerusalem today, focusing in on the Old City and the many layers of spirituality here.
Day 3
You have today to do your own thing in Jerusalem, wandering around the ancient streets. Stop by Mahane Yehuda Market in the day or by night to sample lots of delicious cuisine.
Day 4
You'll head to Tel Aviv today for a stay of three nights. You can either take the (very frequent and inexpensive) train, or we can arrange a private transfer for you.
Day 5
Wander around Tel Aviv today, visiting the old district of Jaffa and admiring the UNESCO-listed architecture. We can provide a guide for you, or leave you to your own devices.
Day 6
A day at leisure today, but it could be a good opportunity to go on a guided tour of some sights outside the city; head north on the coast to the ruins as Caesarea or perhaps take a trip to the Sea of Galilee.
Day 7
You'll be picked up by one of our drivers from your hotel today, and transferred to the airport for your return flight.

As a country only roughly the size of Wales, it’s easy to see a lot of Israel in just a few short days, and without having to move around too much. We think that a pairing of a few nights in Jerusalem followed by a few nights in Tel Aviv makes for an excellent way to see the country, and as the flight time is less than five hours from London the journey isn’t too arduous either. This itinerary spends the first half of the trip in Jerusalem, the Holy City, where you’ll find an unparalleled richness of life and culture. A guide, if even just for one day, is a must in Jerusalem as there is so much to understand here; having a local by your side will help you scratch the surface.

You’ll then spend the latter half of the trip based in Tel Aviv, which has a more modern feel and is known for it’s energetic and sophisticated way of life. We recommend taking a day to explore the city but also heading out on a day trip to visit the many sites that are dotted through northern Israel – once again thanks to its size it’s possible to visit these without having to stay overnight elsewhere. Discover the beautiful sites of the Mediterranean coast (Haifa, Akko and Caesarea are three of the finest) or venture up to the Sea of Galilee to explore the holy villages. Even after just a handful of days in the country, you’ll come home with plenty of incredible memories – and possibly a plan to return again one day!
