On this tour of Tel Aviv you’ll take in the sights and sounds of this city’s fascinating old and new districts, starting in the Neveh Tzedek neighbourhood. This was the first Jewish area in the city to be built outside the old port of Jaffa, and is home to a historic railway station that has been turned into a collection of cafés, bars, restaurants and shops. You’ll wander on to Carmel Market, a bustling open-air market where you can find cuisine from all over the world, including plenty of local delicacies to try – get ready to fill your boots on hummus, halva, olives, baklava and if you’re hungry enough a traditional kebab.

You’ll visit some more of the modern sites Tel Aviv has to offer, such as Robin Plaza and the famous UNESCO-listed Bauhaus architecture, before heading into the oldest part of the city – Jaffa. This is essentially a settlement in its own right and where you’ll find the city’s 4,000-year-old history (Jaffa is home to one of the world’s oldest ports) as well as twisting cobbled lanes, artistic shops, and a popular flea market. With your guide you’ll learn all about this area’s rich history, topping off your Tel Aviv tour to give you an all-encompassing day out in this vibrant city.
