Simple but functional, the Wright Style is an homage to the master of architecture, Frank Lloyd Wright, that feels more homely than hotel-like.  Located in a quiet village on the eastern part of Naoshima, you are just 10 minutes’ drive from Miyanoura Port.  A slower but more active cycle ride, for those so inclined, will take less than 20 minutes – the bike rental company will even assist you in delivering any luggage to the hotel. For those planning to use the charming local buses, the Wright Style is just a minute away from the Tennou Shrine stop, making it easy to reach from either port, and to explore the island’s many museums and sights.

A modest but generous buffet breakfast is served each morning in the attached restaurant, the Regalo, which also serves up Italian dishes in the evening (and select lunch times too).  Rooms are pristine, clean, well-appointed, and (in typical Japanese-style) will include twin beds as the norm.  When it’s time to depart, be sure to stop in at Cafe Ougiya near the iconic ‘Red Pumpkin’ and the ferry terminal in Miyanoura.  Owned and run by the same team as the hotel, this is a great place to enjoy a cold beer or ‘soft-serve’ ice cream while you wait for your boat to the mainland to arrive.
