Diphlu River Lodge is aptly named as it sits majestically on the banks of Diphlu River, which meanders through Kaziranga National Park. The lodge is built out of natural materials such as bamboo, wood and thatch so it sits harmoniously with the glorious surroundings that are home to the famous one horned Rhino. Despite its very natural appearance and eco-friendly operation we feel it’s the most comfortable option within the park; the 12 stilted rooms have air-conditioning, comfortable beds, a desk, a mini bar and glass doors opening to a wonderful veranda. Raised above the river is the common Machan (jungle platform). This is an air-conditioned sitting and dining area that opens onto two verandas overlooking the river and beyond. This is a great spot for sharing safari stories over a drink, lounging on the oversized sofas, or reading a book.
