Khajuraho’s resplendent and erotic temples have been immaculately restored after many years of abandonment; the 20 temples that remain have now been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Our tour explores the remaining temples that fall into two different religions: Jainism and Hinduism. Khajuraho was one of the capitals of the Chandella rulers, a dynasty of Rajput origin that came into power in the 10th century. The temples and carvings found at Khajuraho are arguably their finest architectural achievement.
