The majority of your time will be spent working with our lovely clients, designing their perfect holiday for them and delivering the service, advice, and peace-of-mind HA has become known for. We also trust you to own your product and your role, not just the sales process. Because you’ll only focus on your destination, your level of knowledge (supported by familiarisation trips) will be so high, you will decide what the “Holiday Architects” product looks like for your country, and then choose how to present that to our clients, on the website, in our quotes, and in conversation, as well as maintaining the relationships with all relevant suppliers.

You’ll have the chance to really listen to our clients and build relationships with them, and we will support you by providing training, familiarisation trips, and the space to decide how best to apply all your knowledge to the job.

You’ll be working as part of a remarkable team, who support and mentor each other, and take collective responsibility for the company culture. It’s a fun, social team as well, with lunches, sports events, evenings out, and regular office parties. You’ll have a direct say in how the company operates, as well as the chance to get involved in areas of the business away from sales and product; this could be anything from helping formulate a social media marketing campaign, to controlling the office refurbishment budget.



The role

You’ll be working as a Destination Manager in our Sales team, where your tasks will include:

  • Handling sales enquiries from the initial lead, right through until the client returns, delighted, from the tailor-made holiday you’ve planned and operated for them.
  • Designing holidays that will involve researching a variety of options, booking flights, communicating with several suppliers and presenting this to the client through our in-house software.
  • Along with your colleagues, overseeing the product development for your country(ies). This is done collectively and you each have direct responsibility for ensuring that updates are completed.
  • You’ll also work with the web/marketing team to test improvements and make tweaks to the website in order to drive more quality enquiries to your desk.


Skills and attributes

Successful candidates are likely to have to following skills and attributes: 

  • A drive to succeed in sales, and an infectious passion for the country you would be selling.
  • A team player, someone who can pick up a phone or use Teams to communicate with their colleagues multiple times a day. We don’t want a lone wolf, more a meerkat.
  • You’ve worked for a number of years in the travel industry, and you’ve travelled extensively to whichever country(ies) you want to specialise in for us.
  • Previous sales experience would be preferable. Whilst the role is a mix of sales and product, the emphasis will be on the sales element.
  • You’re definitely a self-starter: we only want people who propose solutions, not those who just point out problems.
  • You’re used to putting forward ideas and suggestions, as well as helping your colleagues.
  • You enjoy a work culture where heads are down when work needs to be done, and heads are up discussing plans for the weekend when things are less busy.
  • Holiday Architects has an office in Cheltenham but is also a remote working company. You will be able to communicate effectively with your colleagues, keep yourself driven, and motivated whether working from the office or from home. Previous experience of working remotely would be preferable.
  • Once probation is passed there is an option to work remotely all the time, we only ask that you come in once a month for our office “Connection Day”. During probation there will be a commuting fund available, if necessary.



  • The basic is between £28-33k, depending on experience, OTE of £35-50k+, this is through commissions, incentives and general bonuses.




  • 20 days leave (plus bank holidays), 1 extra for your birthday and then 1 extra (up to a maximum of 5) after every year that you have been at HA.
  • Company pension that is matched by HA at 5%

  • Remote working with flexibility of hybrid working as office in Cheltenham (once probation is passed)
