Hacienda Guachipelin is a lovely property on a working horse and cattle ranch. This pretty eco-lodge is in the foothills of Rincon de la Vieja volcano and the goal of the estate is to conserve fragile forest as part of its responsible farm management. The rooms are light and spacious and furnished in typical Costa Rica country style and there is a pool for a refreshing swim as well near reception, housed in the original 19th century hacienda.. But the main draw is the many activities here from hiking to riding, river safaris, hot springs and mud pools. There are adrenalin activities as well as cultural tours as well.
