This quirky place to stay offers something a little different in San Gerardo. Some of Dantica’s cabins are quite a distance from the main lodge building set in hilly forest grounds (which will not suit the less mobile), but it does mean they benefit from superb views. In fact, one of the main highlights of a stay here is simply admiring the views of the cloud forest from the floor-to-ceiling windows in your cabin. The restaurant here is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the lodge has its own art gallery displaying crafts from all over Latin America. Service at Dantica occasionally misses the mark but staff are very friendly so do not be afraid to ask for whatever you might need, and be sure to pack plenty of warm layers for the chilly evenings.
