Hidden amongst a veritable treasure trove of tropical plants and grasses, huge trees and spectacular orchids in bloom, the quaint bungalows of the Sepilok Nature Resort are within walking distance of the world-famous Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve, precious home of some of the last wild Orangutans of Northern Borneo. Combining rich traditional style with contemporary luxury, Sepilok Nature Resort is the ideal starting point for most other wildlife land destinations in Sabah such as the fauna rich Kinabatangan River and the surrounding Sukau area.
The spacious chalets feature en-suite bathrooms, free wifi and comfortable beds. Each of the 60 chalets has twin or double beds, air-conditioning, private bathrooms with hot water, TV and mini bar. Outside you can relax on your terrace or swing in your own hammock as you watch the jungle around you in search of wildlife. The central lake is a relaxing spot to hang beside during the afternoon, or dine on the open terrace to enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner on the waters edge.
The famous Sepilok Organutan Rehabilitation Centre and the new Sun Bear Conservation Centre are both just a 5-minute walk from the resort. It is approximately 20 minutes walk to the Rainforest Discovery Centre.
